Notaries accept a variety of documents. A current driver’s license, passport, non-driver’s ID or military ID is always acceptable. In some cases (usually in the case of mortgages and other types of loans) you may be required to have two forms of identification for verification purpose. Typically, your notary will inform you of this requirement before your appointment.
